PHOTOGRAPHY Competition Overview
Everybody looks at the world a little differently, and we want to see your perspective—in focus. Students in grades Grade 6–12 are invited to enter the contest.
The theme for the Competition is
“FUN AT SCHOOL”
Please use your imagination. We would like entries to express how you see the Fun at school.
The contest begins with a preliminary round, in which students upload max 3 pictures in one or in both professional or amateur competition and uploaded whilst registration.
PROFESSIONAL COMPETITION: 12 Years + (Grade 6 – Grade 12)
DSLR Lens Master
- Submit a photo that best demonstrates your technical and artistic skills with a DSLR camera.
- Ideal for: Students experienced in photography
- Judging Criteria: Composition, lighting, technical quality.
MOBILE COMPETITION: 12 Years + (Grade 6 – Grade 12)
Smartphone Shots
- Share that perfect snap or shot that you took with your smartphone that shows the fun at school.
- Ideal for: All students at any skill level
- Judging Criteria: Composition, story.
RULES
- Participants must be International school students .
- Participants must take the photo they submit. Submitting photos taken by others is not permitted.
- Students are allowed to submit three entries per competition.
- Students can take pictures in either landscape or portrait mode.
- If a student submits any work that is not theirs, they will be disqualified and banned from participating in any future contests held by the school.
- SGT reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate.
- Contestants are not allowed to digitally alter, remove or change objects in a photograph or add special effect enhancements to photo submissions.
